Thank you Debi and Scott for having us on Sunday. You guys were simply awesome.You were very considerate and helpful.You went to great lengths to meet our needs and we appreciate it very much. We all had such a lovely time there. I’m sure most of my friends would be coming there should they need a party venue in future.

My son and his very good friend shared their 14th birthday party at Jeeks on Saturday night, 10 September. It was the most outstanding venue in that there was so much for the children to do. We had music playing in the background and the kids sat around various big bonfires whilst eating supper. There was soccer for those who enjoy the game and if not, the kids just chilled. The setting was amazing with dimmed lighting in places yet very well lit in other places. The feedback I have received has all been so positive. Debi and her crew are amazing and I felt so at ease just being able to bring what I needed for the party and she attended to the rest. The venue is clean and provides everything one would hope for. Thank you again to Debi and her team.

Chicama Country Spa is the perfect venue for a bachelorette!

Having arranged a number of bachelorettes, I had no idea what to do for the last one I had to arrange…and then one girl suggested a spa pamper party I immediately went to work in search of the perfect spa and found Chicama Country Spa, situated on the Glenburn Lodge property in Muldersdrift. The venue was perfect, the spa big enough to host a group of girls and Natalie (Spa Manager) was great with providing me with ideas and extra activities for the day. All in all the day was a great success and all the girls had a lovely day of pampering combined with good girl fun.

That evening we treated the bride-to-be with a girls sleepover at Glenburn Lodge, so the fun continues till the early morning hours.

I can definitely recommend Chicama Country Spa as the perfect bachelorette/ spa pamper party venue!

A big thank you to the great staff for making this day such a special one!

The best thing about Umbhaba Lodge in Hazyview is that its summer all year round – even in winter time when game viewing is at its best, the temperature is still pleasant. I quite enjoyed the drive to Umbhaba Lodge – you can go through Dullstroom and White River depending on the route you take, so it becomes a real road trip. The lodge is really beautiful with loads of water features, in a subtropical garden. The nearest Kruger National Park gate is ten minutes away (just through Hazyview) and we were lucky enough to spot a leopard on a small rocky hill, within the first 30 minutes of our game drive. A wedding was going on while we were there – very romantic…. they have an open air chapel on the side of a dam! They have a restaurant on the property which serves fantastic food – good sized portions and good value for money…

Had Sunday lunch at Glenburn with my daughter and wife and was suprised at the great selection – they had all kinds of stews and carvery, loads of side dishes and salads and a huge selection of desserts. Its seems to be a very popular wedding venue and they were busy on the day…. its quite nice to walk on the property, next to the river and dam and being able to see a wedding in progress. The hotel is at the bottom of a small hill and two rivers meet on the property. Apparently the fishing is good and I also saw people hiking, which seems like a nice thing to do before lunch. They have a little bar next to the dining area and I was told that they show the rugby and sport matches on the big screen, so a nice thing to look forward to with a group of friend next time.

What a cool place for afterwork drinks and fancy dinners! Fairway Hotel has happy hour on Friday nights which is great – I hit a few balls at the driving range at Randpark Golf Club and then go for happy hour or have dinner at Balata Restaurant. I went to the Boschendal food and wine pairing evening which was great, nice food and very interesting talk by the winemakers. The hotel has WIFI so Bar Verve is a good spot for business meetings – they serve anything from cappucinos to wine. Still need to try out the Spa, but its really an impressive hotel – very upmarket and SO close to everything… around the corner from Cresta Shopping Centre and right on the beautiful Randpark Golf club.

What a beautiful venue! Loved the animals on the reserve and having fantastic views of the mountain and the dams. The new spa is great and has excellent views – the Spa snacks were fantastic. Sunday lunch was amazing with so many buffet iems to choose from, they even had prawns as a starter. Not sure if this is standard on Sundays, but it was a real treat. We sat on the terrace after lunch and also popped into the little bar. You really just dont want to go home….
